Cultúrlann Sweeney, Kilkee will host the very special screening of the ‘Job of Songs’ followed by a concert from the Riches of Clare series.

The Job of Songs is an award winning, breathtaking music documentary which gets at the heart of community. Set in Doolin, an ensemble cast of musicians play in the pubs every night that invite good company and intimate bonds. Music has the power to bring people together and the musicians (Luka Bloom, Katie Theasbie, Christy Mc Namara, Anne Rynne, Christy Barry, Ted Mc Cormac and The Fiddle Case) explore what it means to exist in the old music, the long-standing tradition, and find community through the strumming of a guitar, beating of a bodhran, and sharing of a song.

The screening will be followed by a concert from the Riches of Clare. A lively concert featuring Aidan McMahon, Michael Landers & Mike Butler made possible through the Local Live Performance Scheme from the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media.
