Negative Space Collective is a new artist led initiative based out of Ennis, County Clare. Founding members of Negative Space are Rachel Macmanus and Robert Downey. We seek to provide a new platform to develop contemporary art and potentially for fine art practitioners nationally while introducing a regular fine art program to Ennis.
Ennis, which the capital town of County Clare, is the largest town in Munster and is situated between both Limerick and Galway city which both have striving visual art communities. Negative Space hopes to add another link in the chain to further strengthen visual arts culture and opportunities in the west of
Ireland.
At present we are completing a series of urban art pieces on behalf of Clare Arts Office, under the PRISM Urban Art scheme.
