A cross curricular project that was delivered remotely using the zoom and padlet platform. In this project visual artist Dee Deegan explored the field of symbols, language and marking marking looking at Early Irish artefacts and Ogham letters as a framework in which to explore the these elements. Students created their own celtic artefacts made from clay, paper and cardboard. The Tara Broch, Newgrange and the Book of Kells were all explored for their intricate and highly developed design and craft aspects.

This artists in schools project was delivered through a series of video tutorials. A highly successful teaching and delivery method developed by the artist in response to the limitations of in person engagement due to the pandemic.
