“ My daughters ( now in their 20s ) as children loved that musical (Singing in the Rain) and watched MANY MANY times ! The only “ lane “ in their world was where our shop is and they would sing “ I walk down the lane , with a happy refrain , cause I’m singing and dancing in the rain “ when they were small and “ helping “ me with preparations before I opened the shop. Now each rainy morning I think of the two of them when they were little girls walking in front of me “ singing and dancing in the rain”.
