Released in 2022 “Clueless In Ireland” is a film shot in Kilkee and West Clare by Odean Entertainment and Treehouse Media Ltd for one of Germany’s largest broadcasters, ARD.

The producers picked Kilkee as the location for this heartwarming and funny movie about a woman finding her inner strength, her adventurous side and her sense of humour on the beautiful coast of Clare.

The main character, ‘Connie’, is in her mid-50s and has worked as an executive secretary in Germany for many years. When she finds out that fluency in written and spoken English has suddenly become a key requirement at her office, she realises she needs a plan. To save her job, Connie leaves her incredulous husband, Dirk, and her pregnant daughter, Anja, at home and flies to Kilkee to take an intensive language course. But she isn’t quite prepared for her new quirky landlady and teacher.

With beautiful sceneries of Kilkee and West Clare on show, and a great storyline this is a must see.
