Clare Arts Office in conjunction with Scariff Library Gallery is delighted to present everchanging (museum of abstract) by a00 (the sound-entity of Slavek Kwi)
Slavek Kwi is a sound artist, composer and researcher interested in the phenomena of perception as the fundamental determinant of relations with reality. He has a long-standing fascination with sound-environments, developing what he terms “sound-paintings” (he has synaesthesia) that oscillates between sound only works and interdisciplinary works exploring social, spatial and temporal processes.
In 2020 Kwi founded 1st Free Sounds Sanctuary as part of Mountshannon Arts Festival. Nowadays Kwi’s work is founded on deep listening, non-verbal communication and education via abstraction. Slavek is involved in Creative Schools, a project of Arts Council of Ireland, working with numerous schools in Clare and surround counties. This exhibition is an attempt to share memories of experience and art adventures from many years
