Kensuke’s Kingdom follows Michael, a young boy who embarks on a sailing trip with his family, only for disaster to strike when a violent storm sweeps him and his dog, Stella, overboard. They wash up on a remote island where they must fight to survive. There, Michael encounters Kensuke, a reclusive Japanese man who has lived in secret since World War II. Initially wary of each other, they must unite to protect their island from dangerous invaders.
