On a beautiful summer’s day a band of black ants discover a tin of sugar lumps left over from an abandoned picnic.As they undertake the long journey to transport this treasure back to their anthill, they come attack from an army of red ants who want the box of sugar for themselves. A brave little ladybird steps up to help save the day.
Blending animation against a live action backdrop and using inventive sound design instead of dialogue, Miniscule: Valley of the Lost Ants is an entertaining delight. And with nods to films as varied as A Bug’s Life to The Lord of the Rings and Return of the Jedi, this funny and heartwarming tale will charm all ages.
