Clare Arts Office in conjunction with Cultúrlann Sweeney Gallery, Kilkee is delighted to present “Textures” an exhibition of artwork by contemporary Irish Artist Paul McMahon.
Having returned to live in Clare after living in the US and the UK, Paul has been inspired to return to his first love of art and painting. Paul McMahon, as an artist, is very exciting because he is quite fearless. He draws inspiration from some of the master abstract and figurative painters of our time and of old. This is reflected in his own strong painting style, his fearless approach to the subject matter, and his bold use of colour and movement. Paul is a resident Artist at Kilbaha Gallery and a featured artist of the Irish NUA Collective.
With such bold use of colour, shape, and form, he cleverly transfers what resides in his mind onto the canvas. His art is thought-provoking and bold, original art that truly jumps off the wall in striking and impactful strokes.
This exhibition is an introduction to his contemporary unique work inspired by his surroundings in County Clare.
