For artists based in Counties Clare, Limerick and Tipperary.
Valeria Ceregini has curated numerous national and international exhibitions, successfully navigating the complexities that arise at every stage of the process. In this session, she will provide an in-depth exploration of key curatorial considerations, from developing themes and concepts to managing relationships with galleries, negotiating commission rates, securing artist fees, coordinating catalogue production, handling guest lists, managing exhibition timelines, leveraging social media, and overseeing logistics such as shipping and insurance.
Using a recent international exhibition as a case study, Valeria will offer a step-by-step walkthrough of the curatorial process, sharing valuable insights and practical strategies.
The session will conclude with an open forum for questions, providing attendees with the opportunity to engage directly with Valeria. A follow-up email opportunity will also be available for those who wish to ask further individual questions.
