Astrid Adler is based in Monmore, Kilrush, Co.Clare.
She has a third level degree in Art and Philosophy from St. Ursula, Bruehl and developed a lot of skills as an autodidact in mime, music and numerous crafts.
Her work has been purchased by numerous private collectors.
Performance in Den Haag with group of artists as the representatives of county Overijssel, 1998, commissioned by the state of the Netherlands .
2006-2007 Family School Community Educational Partnership (Mary Immaculate College, Limerick) as Partnership Development Worker.
She received the Clare County Council Arts Grant for years, supporting her mime group, producing a solo wire strung harp CD and a tutorbook.
She worked on numerous projects under the Artists in School and the Embrace scheme and occasionally for Clare Youth Theatre.
Her best asset is ideas. She is an all round artist and as a craftworker likes to “find out things”.
In recent years she is mostly interested in environment, making things from nature, exploring social context how we engage with nature, celebrate our creative and magical depth within it. She likes challenging groups of people to teach and explore what are new ways of expression to them
