Astrid Adler was born in Germany, lived 14 years in Holland and since 1999 in Monmore, Kilrush, Co.Clare.

She has a third level degree in Art and Philosophy, St Ursula,Bruehl and developed a lot of skills as an autodidact in mime, music and numerous crafts. She is interested in the deeper spiritual side of life, its pain and ways of healing threw creativity and vision. She has a deep love for nature.

Her work has been purchased by numerous private collectors.

Performance in Den Haag with group of artists as the representatives of county Overijssel , 1998, commissioned by the state of the Netherlands .

2006-2007 Family School Community Educational Partnership (Mary I, Limerick) as Partnership Development Worker.

She received the Clare County Council Arts Grant for years, supporting her Mime group, producing a solo wire Strung Harp CD and a tutorbook.

She worked on numerous projects under the Artists in School and the Embrace scheme.
