Emer is a bilingual (Gaeilge/English) singer, songwriter, composer and musician (piano, organ, flute, whistles) based in Ennis, Co. Clare. She has performed solo shows at Edinburgh and Prague Fringe Festivals.
She has written over sixty pieces for piano, her music featured in radio documentary and touring theatre productions. Over 2022-2023 she wrote a bilingual collection of poetry entitled ‘Teach-House’ and accompanying piano score, which has been performed in numerous library and museum spaces.
Winter Solstice in December 2024 saw the première performance of ‘Réaltbhuíonta – Constellations’, musical study of the constellations visible in the Ennis sky, for chamber quartet with bilingual narration.
April of 2025 saw the release of her début album ‘Go dtí seo’ celebrating her songwriting trí Ghaeilge, a fusion of folk and traditional music with elements of jazz.
