Hannah Arnup
Hannah is based in Cratloe, Co. Clare. She graduated from Kingston College of Art BA (Hons Fine Art Sculpture) and Goldsmiths College, London (Postgraduate in Ceramics) in 1988. Having travelled to further study local ceramics in Europe, she established Ballymorris Pottery and School, Co. Clare in 1994. Hannah’s primary aim is the making of beautiful but functional pottery for everyday use, the pieces therefore appealing to both practical and aesthetic values. This has remained her priority through the decades. She also enjoys making one off sculptural pieces primarily for exhibition.
She received the Millennium Masterpiece Award for Ceramics in 2000 and has exhibited her work extensively in Ireland and the UK with group and solo exhibitions. Major commissions include Kerry Group, Cork Commemorative Plaques and working with QVC USA.
She is a current member of our Artist in Schools Scheme panel
