Jackie Askew is a visual artist based in Ennistymon Co. Clare since 1998.

She makes abstract paintings, drawings and collages that are shaped by her interest in landscape, history of place, ancestry, and other art forms, such as poetry, music and literature. Working on paper her approach is intuitive, responding to the process and materials. Her recent work uses collage as a new way of experimenting with spatial relationships, through layering, shape-making, and juxtaposition.
