Johnnie T. is an experienced creative professional based in Clare, close to the Galway border in sunny Crusheen. He has many education and arts qualifications including from Trinity College, London & Sussex Universities.
His work is primarily in the fields of music and photography as well as performance media. He had solo exhibitions in London in the 80’s and has performed in rock gigs with a number of bands across London and other UK venues. He has performed and recorded with a number of bands and had his own successful album “Jesus, Buddha & Zen” with his band ‘Scarface Johnnie and His One-Off Wonder Band’.
He has worked on a significant number of arts related projects including being a judge on the RDS Dublin Arts-Craft Panel and also Lead-Judge on an international EU arts judging panel. He contributes as a panel member to arts curriculum developments including revision and updating of school and college arts qualifications.
He was commissioned in 2021 to compose an anniversary dedication song to Ellen Hanley “The Colleen Bawn” and the song was played on radio stations in Ireland as well as in America and the UK.
