Rachel Maloney is an artist from Scarriff, Co. Clare, graduated from the Limerick School of Art and Design, having done fine art painting. After college then going on to learn printmaking, and is now a member of the Limerick Printmakers.

She is a visual artist, working in various mediums, such as 3D sculptural and installation based works, textiles, and printmaking, focusing on mainly screenprinting.

Her work varies from project to project, creating many art installations for festivals and events, such as ‘Electric Picnic’, ‘All together now’, ‘St Johns Castle’ Limerick and  ‘Kaleidoscope’ Family Festival. Constructing and making various probs and costumes for theatre, plays and TV,  working with ‘An Taibhdhearc’ Theatre, Galway, and ‘Fíbín Media’ Galway. In addition to developing her own textile screenprinted pieces, and sculptures for events and exhibitions.

She has also worked on many projects with children in schools and communities over the last few years. Completing residences in various primary schools in Clare, and working along side other artists to complete a mural in ‘St Mary’s Park’ Limerick, involving the children and community to create the mural.
