Shona MacGillivray is a visual artist with over 20 years experience in arts and education and arts and disability
Her practice includes painting, drawing ,murals and mixed media.
Shona is passionate about nature, our environment and cultural heritage and our connection to them.
Collaborative participation, inclusion, the participants’ voice, exploration materials and methods and learning through doing, are all fundamental to her practice.
Shona is a tutor for the Artist in School and Embrace Arts and disability programme, Co. Clare Arts Office, Creative Youth GRETB, and a creative associate with Helium Arts.
Qualifications: years of experience, B.A Hons. degree from Glasgow School of Art. Certificate in youth arts from NYCI. Inclusion training with Helium Arts. Documentation award with KidsOwn / TAP. Lamh and VTS training.
