Siobain O’Brien is based in Kilfenora, Co. Clare. She holds a BA (Hons) in Ceramic Design from Staffordshire University (2003). She concentrated on abstract acrylic painting early 2020.

Her work is inspired by the surrounding landscape, more importantly the forces of nature that have shaped this landscape. Each painting depicts a moment in time, a moment of possibility and change. A moment of pure energy, not frozen, but grasped in a three-dimensional moving state, with all its drama, depth and beautiful chaos. Siobain seeks to express and celebrate these moment’s in her work, using brushes and her fingers with intense, vibrant colour and contrasting light and dark. Siobain adds texture creating a vivid interplay of hard edges and soft blends.

Siobain has exhibited with The Holy Art in a group virtual exhibition.
