Throughout my career, I have prioritised incorporating participants’ voices into the creative process. While teaching migration as part of a Global Perspective Course for the IGCSE British Curriculum, I collaborated with a UNHCR representative to design an interactive workshop that deepened students’ empathy for refugees. Their feedback played a key role in refining the experience.

At Tenby International School and Eaton International School in Malaysia, I developed drama curriculums that reflected students’ cultural heritage, directing plays like “In a Grove – Yabo no naka” and exploring Japanese theatre traditions. Similarly, at Clare Youth Theatre (CYT), I led workshops and productions based on youth concerns, including issues such as team dynamics and racism.

I also created a drama course for special needs assistants and nursing students, demonstrating how drama enhances confidence and professional skills. This course’s success led to its expansion across vocational programs.

I am committed to creating inclusive and impactful educational experiences by listening to participants and adapting to their needs. This approach ensures that my work remains relevant, engaging, and transformative.
