A co-founder of The Unlimited Dream Machine Theatre Company, Zara is an actor, singer, dancer, filmmaker, theatre maker and director.
A native of Clare, Zara is a passionate teacher of Youth Theatre.
Her work explores the relationship between history and contemporary society, seeking the common thread that unites all humans, past, present and future. She creates Holistic Theatre, that encompasses all art forms and is made with, by and for the community.
Zara has a strong background in creating site-responsive and immersive work within communities. As a founding company member of ANU Productions, she created, directed and performed in numerous award winning productions and a National Commemoration.
As well as being a theatre maker, Zara is also a director of both theatre and film with her film work as Assistant Director on the DCTV production of ‘The Inquiry’ shown as part of the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival 2014.
She was a Theatre Artist in Residence for County Louth 2012/2013 and received a CREATE bursary in dance in 2014.
Most recently Zara has received a bursary in Arts Participation by the Arts Council of Ireland 2018/2019 and completed a residency in Cultúrlann Sweeney, West Clare with support from Clare Arts Office.
She has completed a teaching certificate in Creative Mindfulness for preschool, primary school and secondary school students and is currently on the panel of Artists in Schools and the Embrace Artists Panel with Clare Arts Office.
Zara is a T.A.P trained artist with the Clare Education Centre and is also a Creative Youth Tutor with the Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board.

She took up the role of Limerick Clare Creative Youth C0-ordinator in 2024.
