Clare County Council has an impressive array of sculptures countywide, many of them commissioned through the Per Cent for Art Scheme.
Up until 2020 Ennis based artist, Carmel Doherty, established a significant website of these public artworks and this site is now managed by Clare Arts Office.
Clare County Council also has a significant collection of public artworks in council buildings and venues countywide. The collection began in 1983 with the purchase of 8 prints from the Arts Council.
The collection has been used in a number of projects over the years with items of the collection occasionally loaned out for group and touring exhibitions.
