Bealtaine is an annual festival each May celebrating creativity in older age. run by Age and Opportunity.
Events, projects and programmes take place countywide working, with groups such as Cultural Companions.
Clare Arts Office has worked on a number of projects with the Bealtaine Festival such as
- The Stillpoint of the Turning World with artists Eleanor Feely, Maria Kerin and Chris Droney RIP.
- 2020 Tar Isteach project with the Ground Up Artists Collective
- The 2021 programme took place on line though Cultúrlann Sweeney
- 2022 saw the introduction of the Bealtaine Voices Project with Mike Hanrahan and local choirs and this was expanded in 2023.
