Clare Arts Office is seeking applications from Clare based artists in the early stages of their career who have an interest in learning the professional skills necessary for developing and delivering projects within Arts and Education and/or Disability settings in Clare.
We are seeking applications from artists who work across all artforms, architecture, circus, dance, literature, film, music, opera, theatre, visual arts, traditional arts and animation, and more.
How the mentoring process will work: Artists who are selected will learn through practice, by shadowing an experienced professional mentor on a residency project in a school or a disability organisation. The mentee will also engage with the mentor to learn skills such as project-proposal development, project management, facilitation skills and how to monitor, evaluate and document project work. Mentee’s will receive a fee of €600 which will be paid by the Clare Arts Office.
Artists who successfully complete the mentoring programme and who upon review demonstrate the capacity to deliver a project will be offered a residency award as part of our 2024/2025 programme.
