Emerging local artist Black Pope will bring his unique brand of dark rock’n’roll to glór this summer.

Black Pope is the stage name of Ennis musician John Hennessy, whose music has been described by Mojo Magazine as a “neo-rock’n’roll soundtrack of surf guitar rumble”. Rewriting adolescent love stories as horror movies, Black Pope borrows from classic and contemporary rock’n’roll to take you back to an era that never existed.

Having established a strong cult following both in Ireland and abroad, this will be the artist’s first ever performance in Ennis. His latest singles were recorded in Monique Studios, Cork with recent Grammy-winning producer Cian Riordan and his debut EP “Music For Girls Vol. I” is currently set for a summer release.

Having recently started touring again, people are more drawn than ever to his high energy performances, hip-shaking charisma and an insatiable appetite for all things dark and mysterious.

Free of charge.
