The Local Live Performance Scheme was initiated by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sports and Media, in the summer of 2021 as a COVD measure to support the live music and arts sector.
Initially run from July 1st to September 30th 2021, due to its success it was extended to the end of 2021.

Mountshannon Trad Revisited – September 26th, 2021
Mountshannon Trad Festival and the Mountshannon Arts Festival, under the umbrella of the Mounthannon Arts Festival’s 2021 theme, Regeneration, worked together with a shared mutual focus to bring a weekend of festival celebration to the village. Musicians participating including Eileen O’Brien and Andrew McNamara with a special tribute concert to Seamus Bugler.
Culture Night – September 17th – 19th, 2021
Lissycasey Cascades – Joan Hanrahan & Alan Hogan were joined by a selection of local traditional musicians
Teach Cheoil, Ennistymon – Inis Diomáin CCE organised a wonderful evening of traditional music featuring local musicians including Michael Kelliher and Anne-Marie Rynne.
Hazelgrove, Ennis – Local residents were entertained late into the night by Aodán McMahon, Michael Landers and Michael Butler.
The Doolin Sessions – September 17th – 19th, 2021
The scheme enabled us to support Hotel Doolin as they were unable to run the Doolin Folk Festival due to restrictions. Instead, we enabled The Doolin Sessions.
Trad Gala at The Height, Ennis – September 11th, 2021
Hundred’s gathered in Ennis on September 11th, 2021 to enjoy the music, songs and dances with Eoin O’Neil and his friends at The Height. Pedestrianisation enabled a couple of sets to be enjoyed by all in attendance.

Bualadh Busk – Shannon, Sixmilebridge, Bunratty & Newmarket on Fergus
The promotion of local talent was to the the forefront as Bualadh Busk organised outdoor music sections in the Shannon Municipal Area throughout the summer, offering a huge variety of performances and a great experience to locals and visitors alike.
Los Paddy’s Continental Ennis
Los Paddy’s entertained hundreds of people throughout Ennis over the summer, moving their pop show throughout the town as they brought joyful music and dance to locals and tourists alike.
Busking in the Banner
Concertina player, Christy McNamara travelled to towns and villages throughout the county over the summer, playing his music, meeting people and documenting his travels with his renowned photographic skills.
John Spillane in Concert in Ogonnelloe – August 7th, 2021
A special evening in the Church Car Park in Ogonelloe, with well loved troubadour John Spillane joined by harpist, Niamh O’Brien and friends, braving the elements to perform to an enraptured audience.
