In January 2022 Fatima Lucia started a new exciting project:
“CHANGÓ” Flamenco-Jazz-World fusion, with French-North African Alain Halimi (clarinet and trumpet), Dennis Mc Auliffe, (mandolin and fiddle) from Co. Clare, and Spanish guitarist Javier Mula.
This collaboration merges the lifelong musical experiences of these four artists exploring innovation and fusion from a place of knowledge and respect for the traditions of their very different backgrounds.
Special Guest: Teresa Galan (dancer).
Fatima launched Flamenco in Ireland, teaching and performing nationwide since 1993 when she arrived from her hometown, Cadiz, the heartland of Flamenco. She has toured Ireland with first class musicians such as Sean Keane, Arty McGlynn and Martin O’Connor, combining Sean Nos with Flamenco.
