To mark what we all hope is the beginning of the end of the COVID19 pandemic and celebrate how the spirit of community helped us through, O’Gonnelloe parish is proud to present a unique event with the great singer, songwriter and raconteur John Spillane in concert, on Saturday, August 7th at the ‘Gap of O’Gonnelloe’ – in the car park of St Mary’s Church.
This special, ticket-only and one-night-only outdoor concert has been made possible by funding from the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport & Media and Clare Arts Office.
John Spillane is a musician, songwriter, performer, storyteller, poet and dreamer; he will, therefore, find a good home among many dreamers in O’Gonnelloe on August 7th. Rooted in people, place and story, his music transports the listener and his live performances captivate audiences around the world. As an artist his music appeals to listeners across many genres and generations. His soft tones and poetic vocals will rest perfectly at the ‘Gap’ as he charms us all and this special location captures him as it does so many others.
The mood for this special night will be perfectly set under what we hope will be a canopy of stars as harpist Niamh O’Brien and friends gently lift the curtain.
Due to current COVID19 protocols, the number in attendance will be strictly limited to just 200 and must be pre-booked.
