Lindsey Power is a Co Clare based full time abstract artist. Born in England, Lindsey moved to Ireland to raise her family. Her late diagnosis of bipolar disorder deeply impacted the often large and complex paintings she creates today.
Lindsey received her second level diploma in art and design at Chesterfield College of Technology and Art before specialising in photography at Derby University. Her passion for experimentation in the dark room has led to a love of mixed media and a constantly evolving practice within her painting that she returned to upon finishing her studies. Lindsey continued to paint throughout raising her now grown family.
Lindsey has exhibited her work in Ireland, London and Belfast, in both group and solo shows. Lindsey’s work is held in private collections worldwide. Her work has been featured in numerous publications including Haus A Rest, The Mass and Abridged. Lindsey can always be found in her studio creating big and bold works of art.
