Rita Linney is a visual artist living and working in Cree, West Clare. She originates from Yorkshire, England.

Her work is primarily concerned with depicting the landscape and light of her surroundings, with a particular interest in the close relationship between the people and the land.

She has had solo exhibitions at Ennis Museum (2017, 2018, 2019), Scariff Library (2017) and Cultúrlann Sweeney, Kilkee (2017, 2018, 2019). She has also participated in open exhibitions including the Courthouse Gallery (Ennistymon) and glór (Ennis).

Before moving to Clare she exhibited widely in various UK Open shows including Feerons Art Gallery (Hull) and the Royal Society of Marine Artists (RSMA, London).

She is a member of Visual Arts Ireland (VAI).
