We are delighted to announce that our final Faoin Spéir|In the Open event with Fidget Feet comes to Ennis on Mother’s Day.

Ennis Mela will raise the roof of the Market Car Park on Sunday March 27th from 1 – 4pm with a huge variety of music and dance performers by artists from culturally diverse backgrounds.

In the Open | Faoin Spéir is an Arts Council funded programme developed in response to the COVID-19 crisis for 2021 comprising of a variety of outdoor arts events taking place in public spaces around Ireland. As we emerge from the pandemic in the second half of 2021 and into 2022, it is envisaged that In the Open | Faoin Spéir will help to bring a renewed spirit of optimism and confidence in a fulsome return to the arts.

Supporting Fidget Feet, the programme producers, Clare Arts Office has brought a variety of events to Ennis appealing to a broad range of audiences and interests which ranged from performances, music, street art, trails, spectacle, spoken word and much more.

The scheme encouraged collaborations between arts organisations, arts centres and local authorities to programme innovative events for local audiences in outdoor public places. It ensured that the public could safely enjoy arts events as we continue to emerge from the pandemic as well as bringing employment to many artists, curators, event and production managers.
