Clare Arts

Clare enjoys a greater percentage of young people than regional or national averages. Immersing people in culture from an early age fosters a deep appreciation and engagement in the arts. To this end we look towards collaborative planning with children and supporting targeted cultural initiatives for young people, so as to unlock their full creative potential.

Programmes that we run with children and young people include

• Clare Youth Theatre
  Cruinniú na nÓg
  Artist in Schools Scheme

We also provide support to our partners in the Limerick Clare Education Training Board with two of their key programmes

• Creative Youth Partnerships
  A pilot scheme by Creative Ireland to encourage greater opportunities for young people to engage in the arts
• Music Generation
  A national initiative aimed at providing opportunities for young people, who may not otherwise have the opportunity, to participate in music classes and activities.
